I'm thrilled to be back on the mic after a short break. I've been enjoying the Canadian summer, watching my best friend get married, and spending time with family. Today, I want to share my journey of returning to work after having my second child. As an entrepreneur, career coach, and curriculum designer, this transition has been a multi-faceted adventure. Join me as I discuss the decisions I've made, what's been going well, and the ongoing challenges of balancing motherhood and work.

Postpartum Experience & Mental Health: (3:13)
My postpartum experience this time has been significantly different, thanks to better mental health support.
I opted to continue my medication from my previous pregnancy to maintain stability.
Medication helped me feel like myself again and provided a protective layer during this postpartum period.
Flexible Planning During Pregnancy: (8:50)

I wanted flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of my family and myself.
Our childcare situation, including a supportive nanny, played a crucial role in this planning.
Return to Work Timing: (11:35)
I initially planned to start working again in September after enjoying the Canadian summer.
I've gradually started taking on clients, utilizing the flexibility my entrepreneurship offers.
Zoom calls while breastfeeding have been an interesting experience, both funny and productive.
Support Systems: (14:17)
My husband's improved health and emotional support have been a significant difference-maker this time.
The ongoing support of our nanny has allowed me to focus on work while knowing my children are in good hands.
Having a baby who sleeps well has added to the success of my return to work.
What I’m Still Figuring Out: (17:03)

Challenging traditional expectations and embracing the fluidity of my daily routine.
Continuously working on my schedule and actively involving my partner in planning our weeks.

I'm celebrating the joy of loving my work and connecting with parents who are also striving to find balance.
Meeting incredible clients who are motivated to excel and optimize their careers.
